As an east coast person, I loved visiting the Great Lakes and seeing inland lighthouses such as the beautiful Marblehead Lighthouse, seen here with the Lighthouse Keeper’s House and a white picket fence on a beautiful day in autumn. Marblehead Lighthouse State Park on Lake Erie in Marblehead, Ohio was a great place to while away the hours, picnic, take photographs and relax. I have several views of this lighthouse taken throughout the day.
It is the oldest Great Lakes lighthouse in continuous operation since the 1820s. The sign at the state park entrance says 1823, the official website, 1822. Either way, it's nearly 100 years old!
