Beautiful sandy beach, rolling waves and sky, during the blue hour just after sunrise,Palm Coast, Florida.
I am not a morning person, but when I am lucky enough to be near the ocean, I suddenly discover the desire to get outside and watch the world waking up. I took this photo while visiting my mother in northern Florida. She lived within walking distance of this beach, which was never really crowded, as the rock ledges hidden below the surf just off shore made swimming hazardous but oh my what a gorgeous place for long walks!
I am always fascinated by the different hues the sky takes around sunrise and sunset in various locations. Further north on the east coast where I live, the sky rarely gets those nearly tropical aqua and pale yellow hues.
Those footprints in the sand are mine. I had a long swath of beach to myself for nearly an hour. There's nothing like a walk on the beach to start your day!
