Description
Nationalmuseum, the national art gallery of Sweden, on the Blasieholmen peninsula in central Stockholm, with a tour boat in front on Strommen bay, summer 2011. The building, built in 1866, is currently undergoing renovations which began after the collection was relocated in 2014. It is slated to reopen in 2017. The German architect Friedrich August Stuler designed the building, taking his inspiration from the Renaissance palaces of Florence.
