The coast of Sweden amid the islands of the Stockholm Archipelago seen from the Baltic Sea on a misty morning as the fog lifts and the sky and water turn blush pink and gold with the sunrise. This color is authentic. It was amazing as the white night gave way to this amazing color, which then turned orange and pink and then bright orange. I took this as I was on a cruise from St. Petersburg, Russia heading back to Stockholm.
There are thousands of islands and islets in the Stockholm archipelago, many like this one are dotted with red summer holiday cottages called stuga. I was able to see many of them from the high deck of the cruise ship while traveling through the Baltic Sea, and I got some great photographs, but I hope some day to go back and actually stay in one of those summer houses.
