I fell in love with the warm tones and beautiful distressed barn wood, spending hours photographing these old barns with a variety of different cameras and lenses, despite the January cold. The barren landscape had a stark beauty. I hope to return in the spring sometime and see the fields filled with flowers and overrun with schoolchildren. What a difference the season makes.
