Cape Cod Lighthouse also known as the Highland Light station, North Truro, Massachusetts, USA, taken on Labor Day, the cusp between summer and autumn.
It is the oldest lighthouse on Cape Cod. The original light station was commissioned by George Washington in 1797.
The current lighthouse and keepers house, seen here, were built in 1857.
It is located on the beautiful Cape Cod National Seashore and is still an active aid to navigation.
