Artist's Description
US Coast Guard Cutter tall ship The Eagle during OpSail 2012 as it lands at Fort Trumbull in New London, Connecticut rendered in a mixed media style. I photographed the tall ship, a training vessel for cadets, from another vessel and then used varous digital painting techniques to make this unique image. It looks great printed on aluminum. I currently have it in a gallery on that surface) and works equally well on other surfaces. A great gift for the boat lover on your list.
I am very excited that this image is now available on various sized throw pillows - great home decor for your beach house or just a way to bring summer and the sea into you house daily.
A panoramic version of this photo, printed on metal which looks terrific, and also available here, was recently on display in the Gallery at the Yonkers Public Library in the group show "e-klek-tek" in November 2014.

About Marianne Campolongo
I have been hooked on photography since age six when my grandmother, returning from a trip to Egypt, passed on her well-traveled Kodak Brownie camera as well as her wanderlust. My work has been shown in galleries throughout the New York metropolitan area, including at the Museum of the City of New York and hang in the collections of private, institutional and corporate collectors. They have been published in Smithsonian and Coastal Living magazines, in The Guardian newspaper, in books published by National Geographic, Fodors, DK and Workman Publishing and in dozens of other...
