Artist's Description

Eastern carpenter bee (Xylocopavirginica) feeding on bee balm (Monarda didyma) on a summer day in an Ohio garden. Other common names for the bee balm flower are bergamot, horsemint, andOswego tea. Square format.
Bee balm is known for its medicinal qualities. This popular photograph and others with a spa like feel such as my bamboo and echinacea images, also found in my IN THE GARDEN gallery, would be great for the office or waiting room of a naturopath, chiropractor or other holistic natural healer. Cheery in a doctor or hospital waiting room as well as in any home or office.

My work has been shown in galleries throughout the New York metropolitan area, including at the Museum of the City of New York and hang in the collections of private, institutional and corporate collectors. They have been published in Smithsonian and Coastal Living magazines, in The Guardian newspaper, in books published by National Geographic, Fodors, DK and Workman Publishing and in dozens of other...
