Description
Woodland Pinkroot, Spigelia marilandica, also called Indian Pink or simply Pinkroot.
A member of the Logania Family, this beautiful red and yellow perennial flower can be found growing wild in woodlands in parts of the southern, mid-Atlantic and midwestern United States as well as in flower gardens. I photographed these at the Mt. Cuba Center, a beautiful native plant park in Hockessin, Delaware.
