I love experimenting with my photographs, which can include playing with the color to bring out a very different look from the bright and colorful image that I photographed. Here, I added a vintage color profile in Lightroom, and then used one of the Nik Analog Efex Pro 2 filters to give it just the exact vintage sepia color and feel I was after. Next, it was time to take it into Photoshop where I added a couple of different textures and various blend modes. At one point I had over a dozen layers!
I have been enjoying this particular beach for at least a portion of every summer since 1969 but the feeling of this photograph predates the Kodachrome film of that era, evoking a time well before I was born.
