Artist's Description
Beautiful sunset after the rain at twilight with purple, pink and yellow clouds, blue sky, sailboats and reflections on the water, Stonington, Connecticut, USA, August 2021. The blue hour, that magical time just before and after the sun sets, is my favorite time to shoot as the colors change so quickly from one beautiful hue to the next.
This image is from my first summer vacation in two years. It was drizzling all day, but it didn't matter, Stonington is such a beautiful town and it was so great to be outside in such a lovely town. As evening fell, the rain stopped, and, thanks to the unsettled weather, there were beautiful clouds still in the sky and a stunning sunset.
