Description
Resilience, one of my newest works, and my current favorite, was conceived as a response to the many struggles we face right now, fights against oppression and the coronavirus, and for justice, racial equity, and democracy. It is a symbol of hope that we will succeed in every one of these endeavors.
This photograph is available as part of a limited edition of 50 archival silver gelatin prints (digital C-prints) on Ilford paper, signed and numbered by the photographer. The price is for the signed and numbered print. Framing, matting and associated shipping can be arranged separately. The edition is limited to 50 images at all sizes. Contact me here or through my website (see infor below).
One image from the edition was on display as part of the ArtsWestchester gala auction in White Plains, New York to benefit the arts in Westchester County. Although the auction was virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic, the original photograph was exhibited at the ArtsWestchester gallery during the month of November 2020.
One from the edition was in a juried show Process and Realty at the Arts Closet Gallery in Chappaqua through February 26, 2021. It was earlier shown in Solidarity and Sunrise, co-sponsored by the gallery and the Town of New Castle's Council for Race Equity from October 3-November 10, 2020.
The best way to purchase an original limited edition print is to contact me via the "Contact Me" link on my website http://www.mariannecampolongophotography.com
It is a tomato plant bursting forth from an eggshell, new life right before I planted the seedling, nurtured on a radiator in my dining room, and about to be planted in my first ever vegetable garden. Resilience in the face of all we dealt with in the past year. Taken with my iPhone, using a wheelbarrow as a backdrop.
