Purple sunrise at the Niantic Yacht Club in coastal Connecticut with sailboats masts in silhouette and tall ships from OpSail 2012 seen at the horizon.Tranquil scene with reflections and light shimmering on the water.

I was lucky enough to photograph OpSail in 2012 and was up in the blue hour around sunrise waiting for a Zodiac to take us out to one of the tall ships to participate in the Parade of Sail. The rising sun created such a lovely scene on the water. Alone sailor stand on the dock.

I have been hooked on photography since age six when my grandmother, returning from a trip to Egypt, passed on her well-traveled Kodak Brownie camera as well as her wanderlust. A travel, editorial and fine art photographer by profession, my images seek to shine a light on the reality around me and to evoke an emotional response.
