Bright Red Poppy, also known as a Corn Poppy, Shirley Poppy or Flanders Poppy, Scientific name Papaver rhoeas, rendered in a Pop Art style.
This started as an original photograph and then, through the use of various digital filters and cutting, pasting and drawing in Photoshop, it became a digital painting. I was inspired by the happy colors. The mug, available on pixels.com, was designed separately, and has a poppy on either side with a smooth transition through the center.
