The oldest Great Lakes lighthouse in continuous operation, since 1822.
Early blue hour at twilight near sunset in autumn with pink and purple clouds and the green lamp of the lighthouse lit.
Being from the east coast, I was fascinated to visit the inland lighthouses on Lake Erie. My grandson was born s few weeks before I took this photograph. I got to celebrate my 60th birthday with him and then my husband and I drove up to Lake Erie for several days so I could photograph some of its lighthouses before heading home.
Autumn is one of my favorite times to be by the water and this wads no exception.
This image will be in a 2023 Great Lakes Lighthouses calendar.
