Description
New England waterscape. An island in a coastal saltmarsh with bright and beautiful colorful golden hour sky and reflections of colors in the water.
I love taking photographs of this particular tidal marsh, located a short walk from my family's vacation cottage in East Lyme. I don't get to spend as much time there as I did as a kid, but feel so lucky for the time I have there. The world slips away when I walk along the backwaters. It is especially amazing In the blue hour - that magic time before and then after sunset - when the sky can go from soft blue and purple as in the prior image, to bright orange and yellow in this image taken about half a minute later.
The hour around sunset at the beach is so changeable - that is half the fun.
