Artist's Description

Untied States Coast Guard cadets sailors furl the sails on the US Coast Guard Cutter the Eagle when it arrives at Fort Trumbull, New London, Connecticut at the conclusion of the Parade of Sail during OpSail 2012. The Eagle is a 295-foot barque used as a training ship for the US Coast Guard.

I have been hooked on photography since age six when my grandmother, returning from a trip to Egypt, passed on her well-traveled Kodak Brownie camera as well as her wanderlust.
