Monument, stone and crossed wooden fences and dry yellow ochre battlefields, Gettysburg National Military Park, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania USA with pink and purple clouds in a stormy sky. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought between July 1 and July 3, 1863 between Union and Confederate forces during the American Civil War. After the battle of Gettysburg, an estimated 51,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, captured, or listed as missing.
