The quintessential Cape Cod lighthouse, it is the inspiration for the Cape Cod Potato Chips logo. It was built in 1877 and was one of a set of twin lighthouses originally located in Chatham. In 1923 it was dismantled and moved to Eastham to replace the Three Sisters lighthouses. In 1996 coastal erosion threatened the lighthouse so it was moved 300 feet all in one piece.
It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
